RimKhobFa Bookstore, is an independent bookstore whose core concept is clearly defined as “Understanding Thailand.” For over a decade, it has served as a space for the exchange of ideas among readers who share a passion for books related to Thailand—covering art, culture, sociology, anthropology, geography, history, nature, and the environment.

Following a significant period of change, the bookstore relocated from its original site near the Democracy Monument roundabout to a suburban area where urban expansion has increasingly taken place. The new location is situated in Bang Phlat District, an area now experiencing the gradual growth of the city.

The project owner’s vision was to create a space that continues to tell the same story, but through a new language and atmosphere. The intention is to welcome loyal readers who still cherish the tactile experience and distinctive scent of printed books, while also ensuring that the space remains approachable and inviting enough to broaden perspectives for new readers who may happen to pass by.

To achieve this, the bookstore—previously consisting solely of areas for books and literary discussions—has been expanded to include a café. This addition introduces a greater variety of movement and activities, revitalizing an existing building and allowing Rimkhobfabooks to breathe new life into an old structure once again.
